Survey Description


Helicopter-supported stream sediment and water collection was carried out during the summer of 1990 in east central Yukon.  Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 13 km2 throughout the 11,100 square kilometre survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples. The data are published in GSC Open File 2363.  The samples were subsequently analysed for Bi and Se and the new data released in GSC Open File 3685.

The stream silt samples were reanalyzed by ICP-MS in 2008 and published in GSC Open File 6272.  This open file also includes the data previously published in Open File 2363.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
