Survey Description

During the summer of 1989, helicopter-supported lake sediment and water collection was carried out east of Lake Nipigon in north central Ontario.  Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 8 km2 throughout the 8 400 km2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 2177.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
