Survey Description


During the summer of 1978, stream sediment and water samples were collected in a helicopter and 4-wheel drive truck-supported survey in the McDame map area, northern British Columbia.  The samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2.  A total of 80 lake sediments and waters were also collected.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data were published in GSC Open File 562 in 1979. The samples were reanalysed by INAA and republished in 2000 with the original data as BC RGS 53.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
