Survey Description


Helicopter-supported lake sediment and water sampling was carried out in west central Manitoba during the summer of 1985.  Samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2 throughout the approximately 28 000 km2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1212.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • All of NTS Map Sheet 63N that lies east of the SK-MB border; the west half of 63O and the north half of 63K east of the SK-MB border.
