Survey Description


145 till samples were collected in 1990 and 1991 in the Big Bald Mountain area, north central New Brunswick.  161 archived till samples from a project in the same area (M. Lamothe’s Miramichi project) were also analysed and all the data were published in GSC Open File 2560.

Data Description:

Paper report; digital data.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm fraction by INAA for 17 elements and by XRF for 14 elements.

Geochem Maps Available:

Proportional symbol maps show dispersal of elements.

Other Analyses:

Pebble lithologies.

The data have also been published as part of a compilation for NTS 21O, 21N and 22B in New Brunswick DNRED Open File OF 2021-2.

  • Covers NTS 21O/1, Big Bald Mountain mapsheet area, north central New Brunswick.  Mullin Stream Lake is located in the southern part of the study area.
