North central New Brunswick till sampling surveys carried out in 1990-1993
Project Description
The project involved completing regional Quaternary geological studies, specifically mapping of Quaternary sediments and obtaining detailed information on till provenance and geochemistry. It was aimed at stimulating mineral exploration by providing new or updated geological information. Three separate surveys were completed. The Serpentine Lake and Big Bald Mountain surveys were published by the GSC (Open Files 2246 and 2560). These open files also include re-analyses of archived samples from M. Lamothe’s survey (Open File 2237). The Sevogle area survey was published some years later by New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy (Open File 99-3 which includes Map Plates 99-6, 99-7, 99-8 and 99-9).
