Côte-Nord lake sediment project, 1987-2003
Project Description
Lake sediments were collected in the Fermont, Havre-St. Pierre and Blanc-Sablon areas in the Côte-Nord region, Quebec. The goals of the project were:
- to identify the various multi-element geochemical signals associated with the various geological units in the area;
- to highlight the geochemical dispersion that could be caused by mineralization
- to highlight the metalliferous potential of the region and provide strategic targets for mineral exploration
