Survey Description


Basal till samples were collected in northern New Brunswick in the Pointe Verte map area in 2004 and in the Bathurst map area in 2005.  A total of 125 samples were collected.  Approximately 75 pebbles were also collected at each site.

Sample locations can be found on New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Map Plates 2007-11 (21P/12) and 2007-12 (21P/13).

The data are published as part of a compilation for NTS 21P in New Brunswick Department of Energy and Resource Development Open File OF 2017-2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of NTS 21P/12 (Bathurst) and 13 ((Point Verte) in northern New Brunswick.  It is bounded to the north by Chaleur Bay and to the northeast by Nepisiguit Bay.
