In late July 2004, 84 sediment samples (62 till, 16 beach, 4 glaciofluvial/esker, 1 marine and 1 stream sediment samples) were collected from the Alexis Property on the Melville Peninsula in central Nunavut Territory. The majority of the samples were glacial till, however other materials such as beach sand, glaciofluvial/esker and marine sediments were collected. The Alexis Property is divided into two separate sample areas, one located about 92 km northwest and the other located about 47 km south-southeast of Repulse Bay. These areas cover portions of NTS map sheets 46K/4, 46L/13, and 46M/4 and 5. The samples were collected by BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. The data can be found in Nunavut Assessment Report 084807.
