Survey Description

During the summer of 2015, lake sediment and water samples were collected on a regional scale on most of the Abitau Lake map sheet.  Samples were collected at 407 sites.  Approximately 1 kg of wet lake sediment (gyttja) was collected at each site.  Waters were sampled within the top 10-15 cm of the lake surface.  One 250 mL bottle was collected at each site.

The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 8082.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
