Survey Description

In 1974, lake water, soil and rock samples were collected in the Agricola Lake area, Nunavut.  This area was chosen for detailed geological, geophysical and geochemical studies because earlier follow-up work for Operation Bear-Slave in 1973 identified extensive base metal anomalies in the drainage systems of this region.

A summary of the work and some of the data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Report of Activities, Paper 75-1, Part A.
