Survey Description
In the summers of 1957 and 1958, hundreds of stream sediment samples were collected in the northern part of mainland Nova Scotia. Samples were collected from the beds of most streams accessible by road or track.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 11D (Halifax), E (Truro), F (Canso), and 21H (Amherst), northern mainland Nova Scotia. It is bounded to the north by Northumberland Strait and to the southeast by the Atlantic Ocean.
