Survey Description


During the summers of 2011 and 2012, samples of till, bedrock and stream sediment and water were collected around the Sisson W-Mo deposit in west-central New Brunswick.  Three types of stream samples were collected: 9-14 kg of sediment for indicator mineral processing, 200 g of silt/fine sand for geochemistry and 60 ml of water.  The following open files were published:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of NTS 21J/06 (Coldstream) and 21J/07 (Napadogan) in west-central New Brunswick.  The study area is located approximately 35 km east of the Saint John River and 8 km southwest of the unincorporated area of Napadogan.

  • Covers parts of NTS 21J/06 (Coldstream; 1 sample), 21J/10 (Hayesville; 1 sample) and 21J/11 (Juniper; no sample in this map sheet) in west-central New Brunswick.  It is located approximately 4 km northwest of the north shore of Miramichi Lake.  The unincorporated area of Half Moon Pit lies just south of the study area.
