Survey Description
Helicopter and 4-wheel drive truck-supported sample collection was carried out during the summer of 1977 in northwestern British Columbia. Stream sediment and water samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2. Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples. The data were published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 517 in 1978. The large majority of the samples were from streams. The samples were re-analysed for tin and published in a revised version of Open File 517 in 1979. The samples were reanalysed by INAA and republished in 2000 with the original data as BC RGS 51.
In 2016, the samples were reanalysed by ICP-MS and the data are published in Geoscience BC Report 2017-04.
This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
