Survey Description
During the summer of 1984, helicopter-supported lake sediment and water sampling was carried out in northwest Manitoba. Samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 13 km2 throughout the survey area. Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open Files 1103 and 1287. A subset of the data was included in GSC Open File 1959. Open File 1287 is an update of Open File 1103 containing new data for Au, F, Sb in lake sediments and conductivity, HCO3, Ca, Mg and Fe in lake waters.
This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
