Survey Description

In 2008 and 2009, lake bottom sediments were collected in the Haute-Côte-Nord and Côte-Nord areas.  Regional samples were collected at a density of about 1 sample per 13 km2.  Detailed samples were collected at a density of 1 sample per 1 or 2 km2, depending on the density of lakes in the area.  Eleven detailed areas were chosen where prevous work had identified gold anomalies associated with at least one other anomalous element.
