Survey Description
During the winter of 1983-1984, a helicopter supported lake sediment sampling survey was conducted by the SIAL company in the Schefferville area, Quebec. The area covers 9200 km2. A total of 3555 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.6 km2. In most cases, sampling was conducted on lakes larger than 1 km. Samples were analyzed for:

The data are published in Open File MB 86-50, Department of Energy and Resources, 1986. From the same author, data for gold and arsenic were also published in MB 84-07 et MB 85-22A et B. Additional data are published in MB 87-32.

Covers most of NTS 23O (Lac Wakuach), 23J/11 (Lac Clugny), /12 (Lac Avezac), /13 (Lac Bringadin), /14 (Elross Lake), /15 (Lac Knob), 23I/12 (Andre Lake), /13 (Marion Lake) and 23P/4 (Lac Griffis), /5 (Lac Deborah), /12 (Lac McCabe). The Schefferville area is located in the Nord-du-Québec region. It is bounded by latitudes 54°35' and 55°45' and longitudes 65°30' and 68°.
