Survey Description


During the summer of 1980, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Daubrée township, Quebec.  The area covers 128 km2.  A total of 147 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.8 km2.  Samples were analysed for:

Ag, Ba, Cd, Co, Cu, Li, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn   atomic absorption
Loss on ignition (LOI)    
U   paper chromatography

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 32G/14 (Lac des Orignaux), /15 (Chapais).  The northern half of Daubrée township area is situated in the Nord-du-Québec region.  It is located 5 km west of Chapais, bounded to the north by Opémisca township, to the east by Lévy township and to the west by Dolomieu township.  It is bounded by latitudes 49°48' and 49°53' and longitudes 74°54' and 75°10'.
