Survey Description
In 1979, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the River Koksoak area, Quebec. The area covers 2000 km2. A total of 156 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 12.8 km2. These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Li, Ag, U and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File DPV-781, Department of Energy and Resources, 1980.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 24F/10 (Lac Le Mercier), /11 (Gorge du Manitou), /14 (Ile Koksoak), /15 (Lac Scattered). The Rivière Koksoak area is situated in the Nord-du-Québec region. Its center is located 65 km southwest of Kuujjuaq and 360 km northwest of Schefferville. It is bounded by latitudes 57°30' and 58° and longitudes 68°30' and 69°30'.
