Survey Description


In 1979, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in Maniwaki area, Quebec.  The area covers 220 km2.  A total of 169 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 1.4 km2.  These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Li, Ag, U and loss on ignition.

The data are published in Open File DPV-753, Department of Energy and Resources, 1981.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31J/4 (Bouchette), /5 (Mainiwaki) and 31K/1 (Blue Sea Lake), /8 (Lac Pythonga). The Maniwaki area is situated in the Outaouais region. It includes the cities of Sainte-Thérèse-de-Gatineau, Bouchette, Messines and Blue-Sea-Lake and the townships of Bouchette and Cameron. It is bounded by latitudes 46°11' and 46°18' and longitudes 75°52' and 76°05'.
