Survey Description
In 1978, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Villemontel township, Quebec. The area covers 156 km 2. A total of 103 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 1.5 km 2. These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Ag, Sn (atomic absorption), U by paper chromatography and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File DP-615, Department of Natural Resources, 1978. In 1979, the geochemistry section published geochemical data in Open File DP-672.
This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.

Covers NTS 32D/8 (La Motte), /9 (Amos). The Villemontel township is situated 19 km southwest of Amos. It is bounded by latitudes 48°25'50" and 48°34'37" and longitudes 78°14' and 78°26'17".
