Survey Description
Between 1976 and 1978, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Napier area, Quebec. The area covers 2300 km2. A total of 90 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 25.5 km2 These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Mo, Ag, Sn, U and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File DPV-663, Department of Natural Resources, 1979.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 24E/9 (east) (Colline Gossen), /16 (east) (Lac Napier) and 24F/12 (Confluent Kannilirqiq), /13 (west) (Lac Leopard). The Lac Napier area is situated 105 km southwest of Fort-Chimo and 405 km northwest of Schefferville. It is bounded by latitudes 57°30' and 58° and longitudes 69°30' and 70°15'.
