Survey Description
In 1976-1977, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Hérodier region, Quebec. The area covers 2000 km2. A total of 118 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 38.1 km2. These samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, As, Mo, Li, Ag, Sn, Ba, Hg, U and loss on ignition.
The data are published in Open File DP-568, Department of Natural Resources, 1978.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 24F/6 (Lac du Canyon), /7 (Lac Herodier), /8 (Lac Souel), /9 (Lac Garreau), /10 (Lac Le Mercier). The center of the Lac Hérodier area lies about 80 km south of Fort-Chimo and 315 km northwest of Schefferville. It is bounded to the north by Rivière Koksoak, Lac Maizerets and latitude 57°30', to the south by latitude 57°15', to the west by Rivière Caniapiscau, and to the east by longitude 68°05'.
