Survey Description
In 1964, a stream sediment and heavy mineral sampling survey was conducted in Gaspé Park area and surroundings areas to establish a study between these two mediums. The area covers 3000 km2. A total of 123 samples were collected along each creek, at an average density of 1 sample per 24.4 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ce, Hg, In and Pt.
The data are published in Open File DP-47 Department of Natural Resources, 1971.

Covers NTS 22A/11 (Mont Alexandre), /12 (Ruisseau Lesseps), /13 (Lac Madeleine), /14 (Lac York), 22B/9 (Monts Berry), /16 (Mont Albert), 22G/1 (Ste-Anne-des-Monts), 22H/3 (Grande-Vallée), /4 (Mont-Louis). This survey is located in the Parc de conservation de la Gaspésie and in surrounding areas. It is bounded by latitudes 48°39' and 49°06' and longitudes 65°15' and 66°19'.
