Survey Description
In 1976, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Forbes area, Quebec. The area covers 1500 km2. A total of 90 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 16.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Ba, Li, Hg, U, Mo, Ag, As and Sn.
The data are published in Open File DPV-452, Department of Natural Resources, 1977.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 24E/8 (Lac Rigouville), 24F/5 (Lac Forbes), /6 (Lac du Canyon). The Lac Forbes area lies about 325 km northwest of Shefferville, and 110 km southwest of Fort Chimo, Nord-du-Québec area. It is bounded by latitudes 57°15' and 57°30' and longitudes 69°15' and 70°15'.
