Survey Description


In 1974, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Champion area, Quebec.  The area covers 5000 km2. A total of 68 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 73.5 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 32N/9 (Lac Champion), /10 (Lac Jolliet), /15 (Lac Chambois), /16 (Collines Lescar) and 32O/12 (Lac des Montagnes), /13 (Lac Abigail). The Lac Champion region is situated in the Nord-du-Québec area. It is bounded by latitudes 51°30' and 52° and longitudes 75°40' and 77°. It includes Rivière Pontax and Rivière Nemiscou.
