Survey Description


In 1972, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Mistassini, Quebec.  The area covers 5000 km2. A total of 356 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 14.0 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 32P/3 (Ile Tchapahipane), /4 (Ile Peuvereau), /5 (Lac Woollett), /6 (Lac Fromenteau), /11 (Lac Gochigami), /12 (Lac Comeau). The Lac Mistassini region is situated in the Nord-du-Québec area. It is bounded by latitudes 51° and 51°45' and longitudes 73° and 74°. It includes Lac Thereau, Lac Comeau, Lac Baudeau and Lac Woollett.
