Survey Description


In 1967, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Vermillon river region, Quebec.  The area covers 13000 km2.  A total of 475 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 27.4 km2 and analysed for:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31P/2 (Lac-Chat), /3 (Lac Tousignant), /4 (Lac Devenyns), /5 (Lac Mondonac), /6 (Lac Boucher), /7 (La Tuque), /10 (La Croche), /11 (Lac Flamand), /12 (Lac Chateauvert), /13 (Sanmaur), /14 (Windigo), /15 (Lac Chaumonot) and 31I/10 (Shawinigan), /11 (Lac au Sorcier), /12 (Saint-Michel-des-Saints), /13 (Reservoir Taureau), /14 (Lac Eveline), /15 (Rivière-Mekinac). The Rivère Vermillon region is situated in the Mauricie area. It is bounded by latitudes 46°41' and 48° and longitudes 72°51' and 74°.
