Survey Description


In 1973, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Pershing region, Quebec.  The area covers 70 km2.  A total of 42 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 1.6 km2 and analysed for:

Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co, Ag, Mn, Sb

HNO3

atomic absorption (AAS)

 

The data are published in Open File DP-383, Department of Natural Resources, 1976.  This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of NTS 32C/2 (Paradis), /3 (Lac Gueguen). The north-east Pershing area is bounded by latitudes 48°03' and 48°10' and longitudes 76°55' and 77°05'. It includes Lac Blanchin.
