Survey Description
In 1971, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the McCorkill township area, Quebec. The area covers 70 km2. A total of 101 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.7 km2 and analysed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Co, Ni, Ag, Mn, U, Sb.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-611, Department of Natural Resources, 1975.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 32I/4 (Lac des Canots) and 32H/13 (Lac Mitshisso). The northeast quarter of McCorkill township is bounded by latitudes 49°55' and 50°02'N and longitudes 73°47' and 73°54'W and lies about 22 miles northeast of the town of Chibougamau, near the boundary between Abitibi-Est and Roberval electoral districts.
