Survey Description
In 1969, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Cayamant area, Quebec. The area covers 1100 km2. A total of 195 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 5.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, Co, U, W, Mn, Sn, Sb, Ag, Au.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-598, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 31K/1 (Blue Sea Lake). The Lac-Cayamant area is located between 46°N and 46°15'N latitude and 76°W and 76°30’W longitude; its center is about 55 miles northwest of Hull. The eastern third of the area is in Gatineau county and the other two-thirds, in Pontiac county. All of Bretagne and Dorion townships and parts of Wright, Bourgogne, Normandie, Church, Aunis, Bourchette, Northfield, Hincks, Huddersfield, Clapham, Alleyn and Aylwin townships are within the area.
