Survey Description


In 1964, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Houde-Masson area, Quebec.  The area covers 550 km2.  A total of 103 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 5.3 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn and Mo.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-531, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1966.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 31I/12 (Saint-Michel-des-Saints) east.  The Houde-Masson area includes parts of Courcelles and Provost townships in Berthier county, and parts of Angoulême, Aubry, Houde, Kaine and Masson townships in Maskinongé county.  Its center is about 80 miles due north of Montréal.
