Survey Description
A high-density lake sediment and water survey was carried out in northwestern Ontario in the Elliot Lake area in 2007 and in the-Sault Ste. Marie area in 2008, at an average density of 1 sample site per 2.4 km2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers most of NTS 41J (Blind River) and the east half of 41K/9 (Sault Ste. Marie) in the Elliot Lake-Sault Ste. Marie area, northeastern Ontario. It is bounded to the south by North Channel and to the north by 46.75°N latitude. The study area lies in between Sault Ste. Marie and Espanola.
