Survey Description
Lake sediment and/or water samples were collected at 1137 sites, for an average density of 1 sample per 3.7 km2.
The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report OFR6125 and Miscellaneous Release-Data, MRD130.
The data are also part of a compilation database, Lake Geochemistry of Ontario – 2019.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 52F/9 (Wabigoon), 52F/10 (Dyment), 52F/16 (Big Sandy Lake), 52G/14 (Yonde) and 52G/14 (Valora) in the Sturgeon Lake-Wabigoon Lake area, northwestern Ontario. The centre of the study area is located approximately 68 km east of Dryden and is bounded to the north by 50°N latitude. The Trans Canada Highway crosses the southwest part of the study area.
