Survey Description


In June and July 2000, a high-density lake sediment and water survey was carried out in the Kabinakagami Lake area, northern Ontario at an average density of 1 sample per 3.5 km2.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers the northeast corner of NTS 42C (White River) and most of 42F/01 (Oba) and 42F/02 (Hornepayne) in the Kabinakagami Lake area, northern Ontario.  The centre of the study area is located approximately 100 km north-northeast of Wawa and 112 km southwest of Hearst.
