Survey Description
In August 1996, a high-density lake sediment and water survey was carried out in the Hemlo-Heron Bay-White Lake area, northwestern Ontario. Lake sediment and water amples were collected at 211 sites for an average density of 1 sample per 2 km2.
The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report OFR5968 and Miscellaneous Release-Data, MRD035.
As part of Operation Treasure Hunt, the samples were reanalyzed for Au and PGEs. The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey OFR6036 and MRD065.
The data are also part of a compilation database, Lake Geochemistry of Ontario – 2019.
