Survey Description

In July and August 1996, a high-density lake sediment and water survey was carriedout in the Schreiber-Terrace Bay greenstone belt, northwestern Ontario.  Lake sediment and water samples were collected at 1222 sites for an average density of 1 sample per 2 km 2.

The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey Open File Report OFR5964 and Miscellaneous Release-Data, MRD033.

As part of Operation Treasure Hunt, the samples were reanalyzed for Au and PGEs.  The data are published in Ontario Geological Survey OFR6036 and MRD065.

The data are also part of a compilation database, Lake Geochemistry of Ontario – 2019.
