Survey Description
In 1980 and 1981, stream sediment samples were collected in the Sisson Branch Reservoir, Tetagouche Lakes, Upsalquitch Forks and Kedgwick map sheets in northern New Brunswick. The -80 mesh fraction of the samples was analysed by atomic absorption by the Geological Surveys Branch of New Brunswick DNR using a hot nitric acid digestion. Uranium was analysed by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. using delayed neutron activation.
In 1986, samples weighing >15 g were analysed for As, Sb, Ba, Au by Chemex Labs Ltd. using AAS.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers the northeast corner of NTS 21O/6, the west half of 21O/9 (Tetagouche Lakes), most of 21O/10 (Upsalquitch Forks) and most of the east half of 21O/11 (Kedgwick) in northern New Brunswick. The centre of the study area is approximately 85 km west of the city of Bathurst and 45 km south of the Quebec-New Brunswick border. Highway 180 runs east-west through the southern part of the study area.
