Survey Description
In 1974, stream and spring sediments were collected in the Juniper, Hayesville and Tuadook Lake map sheets in central New Brunswick. The -80 mesh fraction of the samples was analysed by atomic absorption by the Mineral Resources Branch of New Brunswick DNR using a hot nitric acid digestion. Uranium was analysed by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. using delayed neutron activation.
In 1987, samples weighing >15 g were analysed for As, Sb, Ba, Au by Chemex Labs Ltd. using AAS.
The data are presented on a series of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources map plates: MP 76-79a to h and MP 76-78a to h and MP 79-46a to f. Note: several samples collected in the very southwest corner of NTS 21J/11 (E ½) are missing from the database.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 21J/10 (Hayseville), /11 (Juniper) and /15 (Tuadook Lake) in central New Brunswick. McKiel Lake and Diamond Lake are located in the southeast part of the study area. The centre of the study area is located approximately 42 km southeast of the city of Plaster Rock and 56 km east of the Saint John River.
