Survey Description
In 1982 stream sediments were collected by Water Management Services in the area of the Sisson Branch Reservoir, northern New Brunswick. The -80 mesh fraction of the samples was analysed by atomic absorption by the Mineral Resources Division (NB DNR) using a hot nitric acid digestion. Uranium was analysed by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. using delayed neutron activation.
In 1986, samples weighing >15 g were analysed for As, Sb, Ba, Au by Chemex Labs Ltd. using AAS.
The data are published on a series of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources map plates:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers the west half of NTS 21O/3 (Riley Brook), all but the northeast corner of NTS 21O/6 (Sisson Branch Reservoir) and just into 21O/11 (Kedgwick; 1 sample) in northern New Brunswick. Sisson Branch Reservoir is located in the centre of the study area which is located approximately 66 km south of the Quebec-New Brunswick border. The town of Saint-Quentin lies just outside the northern edge of the study area.
