Survey Description
In 1983, stream sediment samples were collected by Three-D GeoConsultants Ltd. in Madawaska County in northwest New Brunswick. The -80 mesh fraction of the samples was analysed by atomic absorption by the Mineral Resources Division (NB DNR) using a hot nitric acid digestion. Uranium was analysed by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. using delayed neutron activation.
The data are published on a series of New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Map Plates (86-58 to 86-75 A-F).

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS sheets 21N/2 (Connors), /6 (Estcourt), /7 (Lac-Baker) and /8 (Edmundston) in Madawaska County, northwestern New Brunswick. It is bounded to the northwest by the Quebec/New Brunswick border and to the southwest by the Maine/New Brunswick border.
