In the summer of 1972, regional and detailed pilot geochemical exploration studies were carred out in the New Bay Pond area, Newfoundland:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers part of NTS 2E (Botwood) in the New Bay Pond area, Newfoundland. It is bounded to the north by Notre Dame Bay. The towns of Point Leamington, Cottrell’s Cove and Triton are found in the study area.
