Project Description

A regional mapping and till geochemistry project was carried out in eastern Newfoundland.  It commenced on the Bonavista Peninsula in 2000 (Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Mines and Energy Open File NFLD/2734) and continued onto the western Avalon Peninsula and Isthmus in 2002 (Open File NFLD/2824).  Work in 2003 completed coverage on the Bay de Verde Peninsula and extended sampling into the central Avalon Peninsula (Open File NFLD/2869).  Results from this project will help in mineral exploration.
