Survey Description


Till samples were collected in the Hayseville area from more than 250 trenches opened up in the summer of 1986.  Twenty-five of those trenches were reopened in the summer of 1987.  The data are published in GSC Open File 2217.

Data Description:

Paper report.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.002 mm fraction analyzed by AAS for 11 elements; by colorimetric method for As and W; by specific ion electrode for F; by iodine fusion for Sn; <0.063 mm fraction by AAS for 8 elements and by INAA for Au.

Geochem Maps Available:

Plots show distribution of elements in till along trenches.
