Survey Description
Between September 9th and September 13th, 2003, Diamonds North was commissioned by Stornoway Diamond Corp. to commence a reconnaissance regional till sampling initiative on the Victoria Island Property. The property is situated within the Nunavut Mining District, approximately 70 km NW of Cambridge Bay and along the shoreline of Wellington Bay, west-central Nunavut, on NTS map sheets 77 D/6 and 11-13. The program was designed to establish the background indicator mineral count of their newly acquired property.
A total of 37 regional till samples as well as 3 stream sediment samples were collected over the duration of the program.
