Survey Description
Monopros Limited conducted a helicopter-supported exploration program for kimberlites on Victoria Island, approximately 275 km northwest of the community of Cambridge Bay. The program covered NTS sheets 77E/5, 12, 13, 77F/5-16, 77G/1-12, 77H/4, 5, 87E/10, 15, and 87H/1, 2, 8.
In 1994 and 1995, a total of 2931 sediment and geochemical samples were collected from glaciolacustrine, glaciofluvial and till deposits. They were processed at the DeBeers Laboratory in Grande Prairie, AB.
