Survey Description
In July and August 2007, regional stream sediment and water samples were collected at 378 sites in the Backbone Ranges area, west central Northwest Territories, covering an area of approximately 4,400 km2. The data are published in Northwest Territories Geoscience Office NWT Open Report 2008-13.
This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers parts of NTS 106B (Bonnet Plume Lake) and 106C (Nadaleen River), the Backbone Ranges area of west central Northwest Territories. Its western border is the YT-NT border and it is located approximately 225 km west of the Mackenzie River.
