Survey Description
During the summer of 1987 in the region of Estrie-Beauce, Quebec, heavy mineral preconcentrates were extracted from stream sediments by running about 250 kg of stream gravels through a portable suction dredge. A total of 273 samples were collected from as many sites resulting in an average density of one sample per 10 km2 over the 2750 km2 study area. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1918.
