Survey Description

During the summer of 1986, helicopter-supported lake sediment and water sampling was carried out in east central Manitoba.  Samples (n=2485) were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 11.4 km2 throughout the 39,000 km2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1358.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

In 2016, the samples from NTS 53E, L, M were analysed by ICP-MS and the data are published in GSC Open File 8179, along with the original data from OF 1358.
