Survey Description


Lake sediment and water samples were collected in 1976 in the Baker Lake area, southern Nunavut.  The data are published in GSC Open File 416.

In 2011, samples from 1,344 sites in the Baker Lake area (NTS 55M and 65P) was reanalysed by ICP-ES/MS and INAA and published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 6985, along with the original data from OFs 416 and 417.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
